RE: NAPLAN 2019

As you may have heard a number of Western Australian schools experienced technical connectivity issues when undertaking NAPLAN online yesterday – the Writing Test.

The Australian Curriculum and Reporting Authority (ACARA) and Education Services Australia (ESA) have advised that these issues were also experienced by schools in other States/Territories.

Our Writing Tests were completed yesterday with only minimal disruption, highlighting that our students, staff and ICT equipment was well prepared and ready to go.

Today however, our Reading Tests for both Year 3 & 5 were postponed due to the same connection issues. Some students were cut off up to 10 times in a 5-minute period – this was very distressing for these of students.

We will seek clarification from ACARA and ESA on the best path forward, keeping you informed via our Facebook and SchoolBag App.
